Moodle Course
In our Moodle course you have access to information about the study program and find a broad collection of teaching materials, such as examination protocols.
All students enrolled in the degree programmes of the faculty for Physics and Astronomy as well as students with physics as second subject (How dare you!).
You can register yourself into the course via RUB-Moodle. For data protection and copyright reasons, a form must be filled in and uploaded in the course (you can find the form here). Please not that only official accounts linked to your loginID will be activated (i.e. the email address of your account ends with @ruhr-uni-bochum.de and not with @rub.de). Every RUB student receives an official account upon enrollement.
This case may occur, if you are e.g. enrolled at a partner university of the Universitätsallianz Ruhr. In this case, don’t panic. Just send a description of your situation to the course administration by email fs-moodle@physik.rub.de and attach the signed form. Postal applications will not be accepted.
This is nothing to worry about, if you have not been activated right away, this process usually takes a few days. If more than a week passes by without feedback, then you may contact the course administration.
Please consider that the activation may take more time outside the teaching period than usually. If it is urgent, send us an email.
Before you get access to the material, you have to make a selection under “Choice of department” and “Choice of degree program and subgroups” first. If this does not solve the problem, please send us an eMail.
This depends on your study program. Basically, you can access all learning materials whose associated courses you can take. Physicists can display the Moodle course sorted by degree programme (B.Sc., M.Sc., B.A., M.Ed., Ph.D.) to hide redundant content.
Although our collection is constantly growing and we try to keep it as up-to-date as possible, this can happen occasionally. In such situations in particular, please write an examination protocol yourself, so that the gap can be closed for subsequent students.
Miscellaneous
We are still trying to improve our website so that you will find everything important. However, as we are at a German university, the student council’s standard language for it’s materials is German. Please consider this and eventually improve your language skills using the services of the ZFA.
